Jamaica witnessed a bit of history on the reggae music scene while America got a taste of one of Jamaica’s brightest talents. Recently reggae singer Tessanne Chin (pictured above with sister Tami Chynn) appeared as a contestant on NBC’s nationally acclaimed televised singing competition The Voice.
Chin amazed the star studded panel of judges with her powerful rendition of “Try,” a song made famous by pop/rock star Pink. Tessanne won the attention of all four judges leaving her the task of picking her superstar mentor. She ultimately chose Maroon 5 frontman and coach Adam Levine. It will be a treat to see how she and Adam work together and what new things we could hear from Tessanne! See how her audition went below.
